My Role Model

My search for the role model of my life ended few days back. It was a brain storming research and I happily declare that it is over. I wanted to write earlier in a better way with a complete analysis of all the characters whom I analyzed but it is not possible to write about all of those more than twenty thirty contenders. Perhaps, I can speak about it only if asked by someone close. The list included right from freedom fighters, politicians, lawyers, scientists, doctors, sportsmen, super heroes and epic heroes. It was a difficult choice. And when it comes to choice, i always refer history books :) ; I mean Ramayan and Mahabharat.

I have been concentrating on Mahabharat and Ramayan for my policies and duties, the different questions..what to do? what not to do? and during that time came to know answers of many of the questions related to life and one of them was surely the the question of role model also. While analyzing for a very long time about all the incidents in these two epics I was searching for a role model, a hero, a person whom I should follow my whole life. Well, I found one undoubtedly. Although, Ramayan is very idealistic and speaks lot about the values one should hold his whole life, it some what misses the the common problem of day to day life. Thus, while trying to co-relate the situations with present time; I found Ramayan should be followed for family values and Mahabharat should be followed for all non family affairs. That's one point.

The second point about role model is that, after watching and analyzing the whole idea of all the characters of Ramayan and Mahabharat, I today declare that my role model is Sri Krishna; not because he is God himself incarnated but because I find his deeds very similar to be copied in most of the cases :) ; I can copy all of them, actually would love to copy all his work. The incidents and events which happened between the time when he comes back after his education and before the great battle begins, is my favorite part. I was impressed by his presence of mind and his decisions which he made while leaving from Gurukul, helping Rukmini and then helping Pandavas when they needed it. Just awesome. He is my hero, my role model. If you are there Krishna having access to my blogs, just wanted to let you know; just be there. One day, I will meet you and if you are watching..just enjoy the show....thumps up to you for being my role model. :) Hey do you know...who is my second inspiration....that's Edward Bloom (BigFish character)....he gave a tough fight to you Krishna but you won the race. Edward is second my inspiration but you are my only role model+inspiration both. Cheers!
